Rohan Fernandes

Rohan Fernandes is a Photographer and Videographer at Gomantak Times, covering varied beats such as art, entertainment, culture, news, tourism etc, and always keeps his eyes open for anything that tells a good story! With a post-graduate degree in Operations Management from Vidyalankar Institute of Management, Wadala, Mumbai, India, he has been featured on the official handles of ‘Gopro’ and ‘Fujifilm India’. He loves the lens and it shows because his photograph on ‘Hinterland Tourism’ bagged the State Photography Award in 2021 from the Directorate of Information and Publicity, Goa. Besides awards, through his photographs, Rohan aims to showcase the other side of Goa, which of rich in local life, culture and heritage, far from the sandy beaches that attract tourists to this sunshine state. For years, he has been travelling to India’s hinterland to capture the essence and charm of the local populace. In addition to that, he worked with ‘Humans of Bombay’ in 2018 during one of their projects in Goa.
