Wondering what all this fun in the mud is all about? Well, it's one of Goa's most traditional festivals, known as 'Chikal Kalo', and celebrated in the village of Marcel, North Goa. This age-old tradition is religiously practiced and followed by the locals of Marcel.

During the festival, you can witness the male members of the village smearing their bodies with oil and then heading to the nearby ground (close to Shri Devki Krishna Temple in Marcel) to play in the mud, recreating the games once played by Lord Krishna. It's fascinating to see how this festival unfolds!
