Goa's Tanisha Crasto wins silver in the mixed doubles event in Scotland

Goa's ace shuttler Tanisha Crasto won the mixed doubles silver with Ishaan Bhatnagar at the Scottish Open on Tuesday, November 30.

Tanisha and Ishaan lost to England's Callum Heming and Jessica Pew 21-15, 21-17 in the final match.

Road to the finals

The duo started in the round of 32, where they defeated the British pair of Gregory Mairs and Jenny Moore 21-19, 12-21, 21-18. Then in the round of 16, the Indian duo took out Tom Wolfenden and Lizzie Tolman 21-18, 21-9.

In the quarterfinals, Tanisha and Ishan bested Scotland's Alexander Dunn and Ciara Torrance 21-14, 21-11. Then in the semi-finals, the Indian pair defeated the Danish duo Jesper Toft and Clara Graversen 21-19, 21-14.
