Chhattisgarh defeated Goa by nine wickets on the third day of the match in the Elite C group of the Cooch Behar Trophy on Wedensday.
Goa's Ayush Verlekar and Udit Yadav shared 120 runs for the sixth wicket but failed to put up a big lead.
Ayush remained unbeaten on 89 runs from 172 balls with nine fours and one six. Whereas, Udit scored 56 runs from 77 balls with six fours and one six. Except for these two, the rest of the Goa batters had another below-par performance to suffer their third consecutive defeat.
In the fourth innings, Chhattisgarh chased down the total by losing one wicket in 4.3 overs and registered their second consecutive victory.
After four games, they now have 15 points and are second in the Elite Group C. Goa is at zero points and the bottom of the group. Chhattisgarh took a 197-run lead in the first innings and imposed a follow-on on Goa.
Goa will play their last match on December 27 against Madhya Pradesh at Surat.
