Sanjeev Bojgar, 50, a resident of Vasco, was killed on the subway in front of Titan Gates in Verna Industrial Estate. According to the Verna police, Bojgar was killed at around 12.30 AM last night after a quarrel with Hussain Mulla, 27, a native of Andhra Pradesh. A case has been registered against the accused and further investigations are being conducted by the Verna police.
According to the Verna police, the main accused Mulla had come to the Verna industrial estate in search of a job. Later in the night, he was sleeping in the subway near the main gate of Titan. In the middle of his sleep, the victim, Bojgar, a mechanic, came there with alcohol.
At some point during the night, the two even got into an argument. In a fit of rage, Mulla kicked Bojkar and pushed him away before heading back to sleep. Because of the darkness, the accused did not see whether the victim had gotten injured from the fight. When the accused woke up in the morning, he saw Bojkar lying dead in a pool of blood. Shocked by what he had done, Mulla just sat there.
Meanwhile, a guard who works at the subway spotted the accused sitting by the stairs in front of the dead body lying in a pool of blood.
When questioned by the guard, the accused confessed to the murder. He later called the police, who rushed to the spot and arrested the accused. Police are investigating further.
