Sancoale locals have raised objections against the various mega projects proposed in the village during Sancoale Gram Sabha meeting on Sunday, November 28.

They also discussed various issues related to water and power supply in the area. The villagers said that the natural resources in the village were also getting affected by several projects.

The meeting got heated when the villagers accused the sarpanch and the panchayat members of supporting the mega projects. However, Sarpanch Girish Pillai denied the allegation, asking people "not to make any false allegations without having any proof."

"Panchayat does not give permissions for big projects. But project proponents go to higher authorites and get their work done," Pillai said.

He also assured the villagers that they will take the necessary measures regarding the water and electricity problem in thearea as soon as possible.

The meeting was attended by 5 out of 11 Panchayat members.
