Margao Police collected Rs 62 lakh as fine from traffic violators

The Margao traffic police has recovered Rs 62 lakh in fine from traffic rules violators

A total of 30,000 were booked for not wearing helmet while 1,00 drivers were fined for reckless driving. "The number of drivers who have violated the traffic rules in 2021 is up to 54,000," Inspector Gautam Salunke said.

He also mention that Margao traffic police has gvien driving guidance to more than 20,000 students.

Licenses of 54 drivers who violated the rules more than five times have been revoked.
