IN LOVE WITH PARAGLIDING AND FENI

When it comes to Goa, everyone has something they love to do on every visit, and Amar loves Goa’s feni. “Once in a while, I like to try feni along with Goan fish curry and rice when I’m in Goa. Goa is paradise!”

Goa aaye aur watersports nahi kiya? Not possible. Amar recently went paragliding and he loved it. "When I'm in Goa, I go to Baga beach for paragliding, and I love it. But, this time, it was here in South Goa that I did it and I truly enjoyed it.”

Goa is best explored when you are travelling on a two-wheeler, he feels.

“The first thing I do is rent a bike. The beautiful small lanes of Goa can be experienced only on bikes. I let myself loose, eat food at the beach shacks, explore the place, and mostly unwind,” he says.

I CAME TO GOA WHEN I WAS 19

Talking about his boy trip to Goa, Amar laments those days, when everything around was fun and he had lots of time on his hands.

“I have been coming to Goa since I was 19, over 100 times for sure. I came here for the first time when I was 19. We rented bikes and we roamed around in Goa," he shares.

"We were here for seven nights, and we had lot of time on our hands. That was the most memorable time. I can never forget that first trip to Goa,” says Amar, who has acted in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2Molkki and Hansal Mehta's Magnum Opus.

EARNED RS 1,000 ON FIRST GIG

The first job, first pay and the thrill of the industry will always be cherished, and it was the same for Amar.

He remembers the first gig, “My first-ever job was with the Britannia Krunch biscuits advertisement when I was around 16-years-old. That was the first time I got paid!"

"I was paid Rs 1,000 for two days of work, and that was really nice for a college-going kid like me," he shares.

"My first acting job was in a serial called Egg by Egg. That was my first super hit show with phenomenal TRPs; 68-70 TRPs at that point of time, and since then, there was no turning back,” Amar concludes as he relaxes on the beach chair of the resort where he's staying.
