The Goa government has declared three days of mourning from February 6 to 8, as a mark of respect for singer Lata Mangeshkar, who passed away in Mumbai on Sunday morning.

During the period of State mourning, the national flag will be flown at half-mast and there will be no official entertainment.

The Governor of Goa P S Sreedharan Pillai condoled the death of the legendary singer and said that the divine and melodious voice of 'India's Nightingale' is irreplaceable.

Meanwhile, Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, Goa BJP Desk In-charge Devendra Fadnavis and Goa BJP State President Sadanand Shet Tanavade have left for Mumbai to attend the funeral service of Lata Mangeshkar, which will be held today at 6.30 pm at Shivaji Park, Mumbai. CM Sawant to pay tributes on behalf of the people of Goa.
