Get ready to be part of Don Bosco College's annual event 'Meteora' that is is all set to take place on February 23, 2022 and February 24, 2023.

EVENTS AND MORE

The 2-day mega event, Meteora, will comprise a total of 22 events ranging from performing arts, such as Battle of Bands, Dance, Fashion Show, and the prestigious Mr. & Ms. Meteora pageant, to events that will showcase the creativity and talent of the students in the fields of Art, Music, Media Skills and Photography.

There will also be sports events such as Tug of War, Futsal, etc, designed to test the physical endurance of the students.

THE THEME

The event will be held in the Don Bosco Oratory, Panjim, from 9 am to 6 pm. And, the theme of this year's edition of Meteora is 'Summer Spectrum'.

SHOWCASING TALENT

Speaking at a press conference, Director of Don Bosco College, Panjim, Fr Joaquim Lobo said, "We are very excited to announce Meteora 2023, one of the most awaited events of Don Bosco College. With a large number of colleges from all over the state participating, I am certain that this event will be a big success, helping students showcase their talents in the field of their choice."

Principal of Don Bosco College, Dr Cedric Silveira, spoke about how Meteora is a brand event of the college. He said, "It encompasses cultural, sports and management events.  Each year, a number of colleges participate to make these two days spectacular with their performances."

BIGGER AND BETTER

Meteora Chairperson, Ralina G Soares, shed light on how they plan on making this year's event a grand success. "The event is more than a decade old and every year, it has gotten bigger with more zeal and enthusiasm."

She said, "After the disruption due to Covid-19, the success of events like ours is important to kickstart the college event circuit where students get a platform to showcase their talents and put their skills to the test. This year, too, for Meteora, we expect to see the best talent in Goa to converge at Don Bosco college. We hope that the event will be a grand success and the legacy will continue."

Besides planning on making this event a grand success, the team is also focused on providing a platform to students to showcase their talents.

Vice Chairman of Meteora, Ishita Rao, said, "Meteora is definitely the flagship inter-collegiate event of Don Bosco College, Panjim. The event allows you to use every skill, art and interest that you have as an undergraduate. Apart from providing a platform for other colleges to showcase their talents, it also allows our own students to broaden their horizons in event planning, media and publicity, time management, problem-solving and much more."
