A three-day Lusophone festival is set to take place at various venues in Goa from December 4 to 6.
The festival will have the participation of Portuguese-speaking countries Portugal, Brazil, East Timor, Angola, Equatorial Guinea, Mozambique, Cape Verde, Guinea Bissau and Sao Tome and Principe.
The festival is being organised by the Ministry of External Affairs in collaboration with the Indian Council for Cultural Relations and the Goa government.
Sources said that the inauguration on Dec 3 would be held at the Raj Bhavan where the Minister of State for External Affairs is likely to be present.
The festival will include a round table conference on India’s historical and cultural linkages with Lusophone countries; a workshop on Indo-Portuguese music fado and mando; Lusophone food stalls and exhibitions; and cultural programmes from Lusophone countries.
