Railway traffic disrupted by the first wave of Covid 19 has yet to be restored, as a result, the Konkan Railway Corporation has suffered a loss of Rs 360 crores, said the sources.

Passenger, as well as freight trains and the Roll-on Roll-Off (RoRo) traffic of Konkan Railway, also came to a standstill during the Covid period.

Although passenger and freight traffic, which closed in March 2020, resumed in July 2021, it is not yet fully operational, so the rise in numbers cannot be ruled out

The 'Ro Ro' service,  the main source of revenue for the Konkan Railway was hit hard by the closure. Now that the traffic has started, it has not yet returned to normal.
