The Vasco police has busted a racket involved in betting in IPL matches and arrested six people in Vasco on Thursday.
After acquiring reliable information, the police raided a flat in Sushila Sea winds in the New Vaddem area on Thursday midnight and nabbed six persons.
Police sources said that five persons hailed from Nagpur, while one accused is from Rajasthan. The police has also recovered several mobiles phone, one television set, some writing materials along with 2 laptops.
According to the police, the gang was operating since 19 September and the premise was provided by one person from Vasco who is also connected to the betting gang. The police are on the lookout for him.
All six accused are in police custody and further investigation is in progress.
