PONDA: Nitesh Kerkar, 31, a resident of Karmale-Keri was killed after his two-wheeler collided against a roadside compound wall at Apewal, Priol on Saturday night. According to the Ponda police, the accident occurred when Kerkar was returning home after attending a cultural programme at Ponda. On reaching near the government primary school at Apewal, his two-wheeler skidded and collided against a compound wall. Kerkar sustained sever injuries and died on the spot. Some of the locals who were also returning home noticed him and shifted him to the hospital where doctors declared him brought dead. The Ponda police conducted the panchanama and sen the body to the Goa Medical College and Hospital, Bambolim for post-mortem examination. PSI Aditya Velip is conducting investigations.
