The Central Vigilance Commission (CVC) has decided to observe Vigilance Awareness Week from 31 October to 6 November 2022 with the theme ‘Corruption Free India for a Developed Nation’. In line with CVC directives, a series of programmes and activities are being organised by Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL) during the aforesaid week to create awareness and promote integrity, transparency and accountability among its employees, contractors, vendors and the general public at large.
The inaugural function of Vigilance Awareness Week-2022 was held at GSL with the lighting of the traditional lamp, followed by the avowal of an integrity pledge by directors, CVO (Chief Vigilance Officer), CGMs (Chief General Managers) and other senior executives present during the function, led by the GSL Chairman and Managing Director Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay (CMD). The integrity e-pledge was also downloaded online for the organisation by the CMD, GSL. On this occasion, Brajesh Kumar Upadhyay addressed the senior executives and requested participation from all stakeholders to fight corruption, and promote integrity and transparency in the workplace. CVO Sanjay Krishna Navhale also shared his views on various aspects of vigilance and the importance of corruption-free governance. The inaugural programme was compered by Lochan Karekar, DGM (Vigilance).
