Goa Governor P.S Sreedharan Pillai paid a visit to Shraddha Garad, Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar 2021 winner, by visiting her home in Davorlim on Friday as the young poetess has published a numerous collection of poems on her mobile phone with her finger even though she was paralyzed.

Shraddha has been paralyzed due to an incurable disease and about 75 per cent of her body is paralyzed due to it. However, she didn't let her medical condition hold her back and was able to write a book by just using her finger and typing out the poems on the mobile phone.

While speaking to the reporters, Governor Pillai said that "I had felicitated the Sahitya Akademi Award winners at Raj Bhavan but I cant believe the honor we felt when we came to her and greeted her and her performance was unique," he said.

Shraddha's collection of poems 'Kavya Parmal' has received this year's Sahitya Akademi Youth Literary Award.

Governor Pillai has also granted Rs 1 lakh from the Governor's fund for Shraddha's well being and her treatment.
