Newly appointed Goan origin UK Home Secretary Suella Braverman’s ancestral property at Assagao has also been targeted by unidentified land grabbers by forging old documents.

After coming to know about the land grabbing scam and crackdown on it by the Goa government through specially appointed SIT, Christie Santano Godfrey Fernandes, father of Suella Braveman cross-checked the status of his own ancestral property at Assago.

Upon inquiry, it was revealed that he too was the victim of land grabbing fraud. Fernades subsequently lodged a formal complaint with the Goa DGP.

SIT has registered an FIR against unidentified persons in this regard. He has also written to Chief Minister Pramod Sawant and NRI Commission, according to sources.
