Goa University has issued a circular on Thursday that postponed the physical examinations scheduled to be held from January 14 for all its general and professional programmes by three weeks to February 7.

The exams have been deferred due to the Covid-19 pandemic situation.

"It has been decided that all the offline examinations of the general and professional programmes scheduled to start on 14 January 2022 onwards are postponed by three weeks and shall be conducted from February 2022 onwards," the circular read.

Final year students along with the National Students' Union of India had threatened to protest and demanded the exams be conducted online, saying that there would be a danger to the life of parents if students get infected.
