Continuing with the rising trend, Goa reported another single-day spike of 3,119 new Covid-19 infections on Wednesday, January 12, as the total active cases rise to 14, 134.
The test positivity rate shot up to 31.84 per cent. There was two fatality in the coastal state in the last 24 hours and the death toll has reached 3539.
In the last 24 hours, Goa has conducted 9795 tests. As many as 28 people were hospitalised in the last 24 hours while 3091 remains in home isolation.
The recovery rate has also further dropped to 91.03 per cent.
In the last few days, several doctors, nurses and paramedics have also tested positive. 20 resident doctors have also tested positive for Covid-19 while five consultants have also been found Covid positive.
