Goa Forward Party chief Vijai Sardesai filed a complaint with the police’s Cyber Crime Cell on Monday, February 21, alleging that his official verified Facebook page had been hacked and inappropriate messages were being uploaded on it.

The most recent post was dated on 12th February, two days before the State Assembly elections in Goa, which were held on 14th February.

“My verified Facebook page, ‘Vijai Sardesai’ has been hacked. I understand that inappropriate messages are being posted from this page. I apologise if you have received them,” he tweeted, adding that he had also approached Facebook for necessary action.

In the recently conducted Assembly polls in Goa, the Goa Forward Party had aligned with the Congress and both parties campaigned united.

Sardesai had contested from Fatorda in the Goa Assembly polls, results of which will be declared on March 10.
