Curchorem police on Monday late night apprehended a prime suspect in the Curchorem shootout case -- Jorvis Moraes (29), resident of Hodar, Curchorem -- in which a labourer died and another was grievously injured.

After 13 days of investigation and digging deep, the police finally tasted success in the matter which happened on the midnight of August 30 in a case related to illegal sand mining in the area.

However, they are still digging deeper to know the whole truth behind the shootout.

More than 60 persons have been interrogated by the Curchorem police in this matter. They are now looking to get more leads from the prime suspect, which will help them nab others involved in the murder.
