Car mishap leads to major traffic jam on Atal Setu

There was a major traffic jam on the Atal Setu on Monday afternoon after an over-speeding hatchback car broke dividers and two poles on the bridge.

The Atal Setu is not new to accidents and controversies since its commissioning. In the past, there have been several vehicular accidents on this bridge due to over-speeding vehicles.

Monday's incident too was all about speeding. The car was in such speed that it flipped over to the parallel lane, according to some onlookers.

The car driver received who was hurt had to be rushed to the hospital. Due to the accident, there was a long queue of cars on the bridge for more than an hour.
