PANAJI: The State Cabinet on Wednesday approved a proposal to hand over maintenance of primary schools in the State from the Goa State Infrastructure Corporation (GSIDC) to Building Repair Division of Public Works Department (PWD). Speaking to reporters after the Cabinet meeting at the Minister's Block, Porvorim, Chief Minister Dr Pramod Sawant said that the repairs, upgradation, maintenance, construction and reconstruction of government primary, middle, secondary and higher secondary schools will now be entrusted to PWD.
