A total of 96 people, including 16 women, completed the 200 km BRM cycle ride in the stipulated time of 13 and half hours on Tuesday. The competition was organised by TRI Goa.
The cycle riders from Goa, Belgaum and Bengaluru had participated in the cycle ride. The cyclists marched to Panaji at 6 am on Sunday. From Dharbandoda, Mole, Uge, Netravali, Quepem, Loutolim, it was again mandatory to cover Panaji in thirteen and a half hours.
All the successful cyclists will be given special medals by Audax Club Parisien in France, said Rajesh Malhotra of TRI Goa. As this year marks the centenary of Auda Ride, 200 km cycle rides are being held all over the world.
Adventure cyclist Venuvardhan Reddy started the stage in Goa. The 100 km cycle ride from Panaji to Dharbandoda and back was 200 km.
