Mandrem MLA and Goa Tourism Development Corporation Chairman (GTDC) Dayanand Sopte on Sunday appealed to the BJP workers to attend the meeting organised in Mandrem to discuss the forthcoming elections.
Mandrem constituency BJP Mandal President Madhusudhan Parab and General Secretary Santosh Korkhankar were also present in a press conference.
The meeting will be held at 2.30 pm on November 22 at Deen Dayal Bhavan Hall, Mandrem. The meeting will hold talks to take stocks of the party’s preparations for the assembly elections.
Sopte said the meeting will be attended by Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, former Chief Minister of Maharashtra Devendra Fadnavis, Union Minister Shripad Naik, Goa State President of BJP Sadanand Tanawade.
BJP Mandrem constituency committee members from Goa Pradesh Yuva BJP Morcha, Goa Pradesh Mahila Samiti, Yuva Samiti, Kisan Morcha, OBC Morcha and Minority Morcha will also attened the meeting. He requested workers to attend in large number.
Even though BJP has not announced their candidature in Mandrem, Sopte and Former CM Laxmikant Parsekar are eyeing for BJP ticket from Mandrem.
In 2017, Parsekar lost the assembly election to Sopte, who was part of Congress then, by over 7,000 vote. Sopte joined BJP in 2018.
