Congress candidate for Marcaim and former Ponda MLA Lavoo Mamledar on Tuesday wrote to Enforcement Directorate and Income tax seeking a probe against Goa Trinamool Congress and I-PAC.
Mamledar in the letter has asked the ED to probe the source of the funds and demanded an inquiry into the bank accounts of TMC's ally Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP)
He also provided the bank details and alleged that there has been a huge fund flow by AITC and I-PAC.
"Goa has been always a peaceful state, but since last four months, the atmosphere in the state has been spoiled by AITC and I_PCA. More than 100 people of I-PAC have been working in Goa for the last four months. GOa is under threat from AITC and I-PAC. We demand that all the candidate sponsored by AITC and MGP needs to be immediately investigated and their bank accounts and assets need to be immediately looked into," Mamledar said in the letter.
Lavoo was one of the first few who joined TMC in September last year. He parted ways with TMC soon after it allied with the MGP, the outfit with which he had started his political career in 2007. He has been elected as MLA on an MGP ticket in the 2012 polls.
He joined Congres this year after quitting TMC and will be contesting the upcoming polls from Marcaim on Congress ticket.
