An FIR has been registered against the Curtorim Congress candidate, Moreno Rebello, on Thursday, February 24, for violation of Code of Conduct.

South Goa District collector, Ramesh Gaonkar, filed a complaint at the Curtorim Police Station against Rebello for posting a controversial video on social media platform -- Facebook on February 9.

The content of the video were against the Code of Conduct norms.

For the State Assembly Election 2022, Curtorim Ex-Zilla Panchayat member, Moreno Rebello, contested for the Cutorim seat from the Congress party.

He quit the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) 20 days after former Congress MLA Aleixo Reginaldo Lourenco resigned from the party and joined the Trinamool Congress (TMC).

His wife Michelle Rebello, the current ZP member was also seen attending public meeting of Congress in Curtorim.
