Deputy Chief Minister and Quepem MLA Chandrakant (Babu) Kavlekar kicked off his election campaign on Monday, November 30, launching the 'Ghar Ghar chalo Abhiyan' campaign in Sarvoi.

Speaking at the rally, Kavlekar said that the government will fulfil the promise of providing 10,000 jobs before the elections.

He hit out at opposition parties in the state, saying that opposition is misleading the people about jobs and the people in the district has given their answer in the district panchayat elections.

He also mentioned that, the district panchayat elections were held at the party level and the people had supported the BJP in that elections.

"Goa government had done a lot to prevent to help people during the pandemic, but there was no sign about the opposition and now when the assembly elections are looming, thesepeople are spreading propaganda against the Government," Kavlekar said.

He also stated that people of Goa will support the BJP and bring it back to power.

Suchita Shirvaikar, Mayor of Quepem, said that Babu Kavalekar's entry into the BJP has paved the way of development for Quepem. "Kavalekar had set up a Covid centre for the patients to prevent any inconvenience during the pandemic but the opposition did nothing," Shirvaikar said.

Corporator Chetan Haldankar, Prasad Phaldesai, Ganpat Modak, Dayesh Naik and other activists were present in large numbers for this campaign.
