Ahead of the Assembly election, Congress candidate Dharmesh Saglani conducted door-to-door campaign in Surla on Wednesday, January 9.

While speaking Saglani said, "BJP has just done corruption in last few years, we should all unite to bring down the corrupt Chief Minister Pramod Sawant."

Opposition leader Digambar Kamat said that, "In the last ten years, the BJP government has only done corruption, may it be job recruitment or mining scam and have brought people on street, ."

He further said that Sanquelim needs change and the change can be bought by the Congress candidate Dharmesh Saglani.

During the campaign in Surla, a large number of people joined Congress and supported Saglani.

Opposition leader Digambar Kamat, Former MLA Pratap Gavas, Mayor of the Sanquelim Raya Parsekar, Deputy mayor Rajesh Sawal, councilor Kunda Madkar, Former mayor of the Sanquelim Sunita Verekar and others participated in the campaign.

In Sanquelim, the current BJP MLA and Chief Minister Pramod Sawant is up against Congress challenger Dharmesh Saglani.

On February 1, former Maharashtra Chief Minister Prithviraj Chavan campaigned door-to-door for the Congress candidate Dharmesh Salgani in Sanquelim.

The Assembly election is scheduled on February 14 and the counting will take place on March 10.
