The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) announced its first list of candidates for the upcoming Goa Assembly election on Friday, January 7. In the first list, the AAP has announced the names of 10 candidates.
Tweeting the names of candidates, the AAP said, "@AamAadmiParty's first list of candidates for the upcoming 2022 Assembly Elections in Goa. #EkChanceKejriwalak."
Some of the famous names on the list are Amit Palekar, an advocate, who will contest from St Cruz. Former BJP leader and two-time Cortalim MLA Alina Saldanha will again contest from Cortalim on AAP's symbol.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Vice President Pratima Coutinho has been given a ticket from Navelim. Former MGP candidate Premanand (Babu) Nanoskar will contest from Dabolim.
Former BJP leader Vishwajit K Rane has been given the ticket from Poriem. A former minister in the cabinet of former chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar and a two-time MLA will contest from the Shiroda constituency.
The election to the 40-member Goa assembly is due month. The poll schedule is yet to be announced by the Election Commission.
