Understanding that Goa has the potential for solar power, the office bearers of the Confederation of Indian Industry, Anirudh Agrawal and Vice Chairperson, CII Goa State Council, Brajesh Upadhyay, presented recommendations in regards to the state's development, to Goa Chief Minister, Pramod Sawant.
The recommendation focused on the development of key sectors of Goa. The CII recommended incentivizing solar energy players and introducing a policy for ground-mounted systems for the sustainable development of the state.
With a large number of tourists coming to Goa every year, the CII delegation recommended the development of 'nautical tourism' in the state and establishing a domestic and international cruise terminal at Mormugao Port.
They put forth the need for the state to have world class facilities, which would enhance cruise tourism in state.
Trying to explore the possibilities, the CII delegation also requested the creation of a separate category of nautical tourism in Goa, water sports for the development of nautical tourism, and attraction of quality tourism in the state.
The industry is hoping for a positive outlook, welfare and growth of the state of Goa through its recommendations for the development of key sectors.
