Green Club Goa is hosting a live demo-cum-workshop on growing winter veggies and grafting plants. The workshop will share insights on how to grow plants that are stronger and more fruit producing.
Scheduled to take place on September 2, 2023, at Dasya, the Good Place, Alto-Porvorim, the workshop will be curated by Estrella Pires who has a B Sc in Agriculture and Eugenio Da Costa, an expert in grafting trees. Together, they will share their proficiency and tips on crop growing.
Some of the areas that the workshop will cover include Goa’s seasonal crops, a demo on seeds and transplanting seedlings, best crops to grow in Goa, preparation of soil for winter veggies and more.
The specialists will also shed light on the techniques of grafting, including the pros and cons, the types of grafting available, the tools and materials required, the pre-grafting preparation and the post-grafting care.
One can also avail compost and other plant accessories which will be available at the venue by Green Fingers Nursery.
Some of the items available will include cocopeat, compost, seedlings, flowering and ornamental plants and veggies.
Also, banana peel fertilizer, potting mix, bio-enzyme, pure coconut oil and plant grafts will be up for sale by the Green Club, itself.
