Decluttering is one of life’s simple pleasures. After all, saying goodbye to the unnecessary is the first step to attracting the necessary.
Whether it’s clearing out your living space, sorting through a closet full of clothes, or parting with cherished but forgotten keepsakes, the process of decluttering is as much about internal freedom as it is about external space.
Sometimes, this journey towards clarity requires a collective effort to make a positive impact on the world around us and make it a better place.
If you’re in Goa and seeking a refreshing change, the Freedom Carnival might be just what you need.
Organised by Panjim-based experiential company, Meraki Experiences, in collaboration with Build 3, a startup studio in Candolim; the event promises a day of rejuvenation and fun as Meraki Experiences turns 1.
Scheduled for August 18, 2024, the carnival will take place at the Build 3 Villa in Candolim from 11 am to 10 pm
The Freedom Carnival will feature a variety of activities, including art workshops, a flea market, yoga sessions, thrift exchanges and a selection of food stalls.
The goal is to help declutter your mind, body and environment to promote a sense of liberation and environmental responsibility.
“Initially, we planned to hold the Freedom Carnival on August 15th, coinciding with Independence Day,” says Isha, founder of Meraki Experiences.
“However, we decided to move it to Sunday, August 18th, in hopes that more people can participate,” she added.
You cannot put a price on freedom, and rightly so, the entry fee for the Freedom Carnival is absolutely free of cost.
Additionally, “the event will be alcohol-free and waste-free, with several engaging workshops and activities, such as mandala painting,” says Isha who is preparing to announce the detailed schedule for the event any day now.
This Independence Day, celebrate freedom in a meaningful way - immerse yourself in creativity with a painting session, explore unique finds at flea markets, unwind at a yoga class, experience the excitement of a thrift exchange, and savour clean, healthy food.
All of this while surrounded by like-minded individuals who believe that true fun lies in making a positive impact on the planet.
