Alliance Française de Panjim, Goa, is organising Francophonie Week at the Surya Kiran Heritage Hotel, Campal, Panjim.

The event will be held from March 20, 2023 to March 26, 2023, and aims to promote French language, culture and heritage.

The week-long festival will include activities such as an interactive French cello performance, learning French through cooking and food, French literature, quiz night and more.

As part of the event, there will also be a week-long French food festival at Surya Kiran Heritage Hotel's Heritage Bistro, which will serve authentic French dishes such as French Onion Soup, Salade Niçoise, Croque Madame, Bar au Beurre Blanc, Cotriade, Classic Coq Au Vin and Tarte Aux Pommes.

DAY 1: Monday, March 20, 2023: Cello music

6.30 pm to 8.30: Cello performance & interactive session on French music by Vian Pereira.

DAY 2: Tuesday, March 21, 2023: Eat crepes, learn French

11 am to 1 pm: Sophie Delmer (teacher, Alliance Francaise Panjim) will demonstrate crepe-making and teach French through cooking with Shamika Andrade (Development In-charge, Alliance Francaise Panjim).

DAY 3: Wednesday, March 22, 2023: Learn French through songs & karoake

6.30 pm to 8.30 pm: Learn French songs with Myron Fernandes (teacher, Alliance Francaise Panjim) and Learn French with Shamika Andrade (Development In-charge, Alliance Francaise Panjim).

DAY 4: Thursday, March 23, 2023: Quiz night & Francophone literature

6.30 pm to 8.30 pm: Quiz on France by Kshama D Dharwadkar (Assistant Professor of French, Goa University.

Dr Anuradha Wagle, French students and teachers will read works by Francophone authors.

DAY 5: Friday, March 24, 2023: Speak Dating & music

6.30 pm to 8.30 pm: Learn French the fun way through Speak Dating, a French twist on the concept of Speed dating.

Learn French the fun way through songs, activities, games and laughter with Shamika Andrade (Development In-charge, Alliance Francaise Panjim).

10 am to 12 pm: 5 to 9 years
