Pianist Marouan Benabdallah is a remarkable talent who has made his mark on the international stage.
This native of Morocco, with a musical heritage entrenched in the Hungarian tradition, has received his formal training at the Bela Bartok Conservatory and the Franz Liszt Academy in Budapest, Hungary.
Benabdallah shares the honour of receiving the Medal of the Hungarian Parliament for his achievement in music with acclaimed artist Placido Domingo.
A musical prodigy, Benabdallah had won nearly every music competition in Morocco by the age of 13. He was then without question set to become a monumental success internationally, playing in Germany, Austria, China, Spain, the United States, the United Kingdom, France, Italy and so on.
As a prizewinner at the Arthur Rubinstein Master Competition in Tel-Aviv, Israel, his playing was proclaimed “miraculous” by the local press.
Benabdallah has been a soloist with many orchestras in Europe, Asia and the United States. These include the Budapest Symphony Orchestra, the Beijing Symphony Orchestra, the Cannes Symphony Orchestra, the Hungarian Radio Symphony Orchestra and the Hilton Head Symphony Orchestra (U.S.), among many others.
