Exhibition by top Brazilian architectural photographer, Leonardo Finotti @ Goa
The Museum of Christian Art (MoCA), Old Goa, is organizing a photography exhibition on the works of Brazilian landscape designer, Burle Marx.
This photographic essay, by Brazilian artist and leading architectural photographer, Leonardo Finotti, will be exhibited at the MoCA Courtyard from November 20, 2022 to Dec 15, 2022.
Born in São Paulo, Roberto Burle Marx (1909-1994) was the first garden designer of the 20th century to value tropical plants as essential features of parks and gardens, and ustilised such plants (generally considered weeds) to create a new aesthetic.
During his visit to India in 1970, he ordered hundreds of plants to Brazil and incorporated them in many of his designs, including Flamengo Park in Rio de Janeiro, the largest public park in the world.
