If you love cooking competitions, here’s one which will be of special interest to those with a sweet tooth, and its theme is ‘rice’.
There will be a ‘Rice Sweet Making Competition’ at the Saligao Institute, Saligao, on Oct 31, 2023. The event will be part of the weekly Saligao pop up market.
Participants will be required to prepare a sweet dish using rice, and present it at the venue. These dishes need not be Goan delicacies, but could be any kind of sweet wherein rice is an ingredient.
Sweet dish samples to be presented for judging should be a minimum of 300 g.
Entries will be judged on flavour, plating and innovation. Winning entries will get prizes worth ₹ 500, ₹ 300 and ₹ 200.
The competition is open to all individuals, irrespective of age.
