This week, two planets, Saturn and Venus, will be closest to each other with the conjunction of both planets being on Sunday, January 22, 2023, when you can catch the dazzling planet Venus and fainter planet Saturn near each other after sunset.

A simple telescope or pair of binoculars will enable you to see both planets together in the same field of view.

As part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, the Goa Science Centre, Miramar, along with the Ministry of Culture, will hold a sky observation programme from January 21 to 24, to witness this rare celestial event.
