SECRET FOOD AND TAVERN TRAIL
A guided tour, or trail, is one of the easiest ways to understand a land and its culture. Here’s a trail that focuses on Goa’s food heritage.
Go on a delicious adventure through the flavours of Goa as Soul Travelling presents ‘Secret Food and Tavern Trail’ on June 1, 2024, at MO’s Cafetaria, Panjim.
The unique gastronomic experience will feature celebrated culinary expert, Priyanka Sardessai, the brain behind Larder & Folk, an artisan bakery and cafe in Sao Tome, Panjim.
Priyanka is a graduate of the prestigious Culinary Institute of America (CIA), New York, and will share her culinary secrets and experiences.
During this walking trail, participants will get to savour delectable Goan snacks as well as learn some unusual stories about the capital city, and fun trivia about traditional Goan food.
Soul Travelling is a tour company which curates offbeat experiences around Goa, giving participants an opportunity to explore the heritage, culture and more.

MEET THE AUTHOR
The Dogears Bookshop, Margao, presents a ‘Meet the Author’ session on June 1, 2024, featuring author and poet, Rochelle Potkar, who will discuss her latest book of poems, Coins in Rivers, with vice chairperson of Goa Heritage Action Group (GHAG) and author, Heta Pandit.
Rochelle’s short stories and poems have been published in several books, journals, and anthologies.
In 2015, she was a writer-in-residence at the University of Iowa's International Writing Program, and the Charles Wallace Writer's fellow at the University of Stirling, Scotland in 2016-17.
According to the winner of the 2021 Patrick White Award, Adam Aitken, Rochelle's poems “spark and spin with feminine energy and surreal thought, critical reflection, and restlessness.”
Vividly depicting love, grief, anger and defiance, Coins in Rivers is a deep meditation on womanhood, motherhood and citizenship.
After the session, copies of the book will be on sale, and will be signed by the author.
