BOOK OF KANTARAM TO BE RELEASED
Kantar – Goychem Daiz, a book of tiatr stage songs in Konkani will be released on May 15, 2022. The book contains lyrics of kantaram, their music scores and translation of lyrics in English. The lyrics of the kantaram have been composed by Tomazinho Cardozo, the music score has been written by Nolvert Cota, and translation of lyrics from Konkani to English has been done by Irene Cardozo.
The book has 100 kantaram, including Solos, Duets, Duos, Trios, Quartets and choral songs.
The Chief Guest for the function will be Rev Fr Peter Cardozo, Director of Pilar Music Academy and renowned music composer and singer; Menino Fernandes, President of the Tiatr Academy of Goa Mario Menezes, Vice-President of Tiatr Academy of Goa will be the Guests of Honour. William Fernandes, Secretary of the Dalgado Konknni Akademi, Panjim, will speak about the book, which has been published by Omor Prokaxon.
