TWO VOICES
For those of you who love the arts, here’s a treat. ‘Two Voices’, a unique concert-lecture bridging music, art, poetry and philosophy will be held on August 25, 2024, at Sadhana Dell 'Arte, Merces.
Natalia Martinez Arias, an Italy-based flautist, trained in the musical traditions of Belgium and Spain, will perform at the event.
Also in performance will be Lorenzo De Donato, a researcher in Philosophy at the University of Milan, specialising in the realms of Aesthetics and Musicology.
‘Two Voices’ is their collaborative project, and is a series of concert-talks that meld the beauty of the flute with the power of the spoken word.
The duration of the programme will be approx 60 minutes.

PRESERVING MEMORIES, CARING FOR OLD PHOTOGRAPHS
Have you always been interested in learning how to maintain and protect old photographs?
Pick up practical techniques for handling, cleaning and storing photographs to prevent further damage at a talk, titled, ‘Preserving Memories: An Interactive Session on How to Care for Old Photographs’. The talk will take place on August 25, 2024 at the Museum of Christian Art (MoCA), Old Goa.
In addition to the above, participants will also learn to address common issues such as fading, discolouration and physical wear of photos.
The session will offer guidance on when it's appropriate to attempt repairs at home and when to seek professional restoration. Participants can also bring their own photographs and receive personalised advice on how to care for them.
Geovanni Fernandes will be the resource person for the event. A Certified Picture Framer from the Fine Art Trade Guild, London, Geovanni Lorenz Fernandes has over 20 years experience in digital imaging and printing, and over 15 years in the field of picture framing and conservative framing.
Currently, he heads Quadro by Lorenz Imaging at Porvorim, Goa.
