Kartik Aaryan-starrer thriller 'Dhamaka', released on 19 November, 2021, was screened in the festival's OTT section for 52nd edition of International Film Festival of India (IFFI) on Sunday
“It is an honour to get film screened in IFFI. I am happy to be in IFFI this time when my film is being screened, earlier I was here only as a fan," said Kartik Aryan while interacting to media person on sidelines of IFFI.
Dhamaka, a one-hour-and-44-minute thriller, was shot in a room utilising a 360-degree camera. The movie is directed by Ram Madhvani.
He further expressed his happiness by saying that, "It's an edge-of-your-seat drama and you will enjoy it".
The Dhamaka is remake of the South Korean film The Terror Live, which was released in 2014. The actor Kartik Aaryan portrays Arjun Pathak, a journalist who receives a threat after exclusively interviewing a terrorist who detonated a bomb on a bridge. Mrunal Thakur and Amruta Subhash play key bits in the film.
The actor took to his Instagram, twitter and shared his fanboy moment as he announced the screening of Dhamaka at IFFI.
Dhamaka is currently streaming on Netflix and will be shown at IFFI as part of the BRICS Film Festival. Films from five BRICS nations, namely Brazil, Russia, China, South Africa, and India, will be shown at the BRICS Film Festival alongside IFFI for the first time.
