IFFI 2022: Not beaches, want to see Goa's churches, says Yami

One her maiden visit to the International Film Festival of India, the actress says she would love to shoot in Goa if a good script comes her way

Dressed in a stunning red saree, Indian actress, Yami Gautam made her first-time entry at the 53rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) at the Asia premiere of the film, Lost, directed by Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury.

The actress, who plays the lead in Lost, shared her experience working on the film. She said when an actor knows what kind of film he or she would be presenting, the confidence comes automatically.

LOVE TO SHOOT IN GOA

"The first experience is often a special experience. I had only heard that IFFI was fun, but now experienced it too. It can be very taxing but to be able to stand out and be here and be excited is what matters," she said

When asked if she would want to shoot a film in Goa, Gautam said "Who does not love Goa? I would love to shoot here if the script is good."

GOA IS BEYOND BEACHES

Goa proved to be very good for filmmakers during the pandemic as it allowed film shoots with precautions.

Gautam loves Goa and wishes to explore the other side of the State. She said said that there are people who want to explore beaches and other aspects, but she wanted to explore the streets and the churches of the State.

EVERYONE LOVES GOA

In her Goa itinerary, Old Goa is one of the top places she wants to visit just to see the churches. "I also love Goan food. I love seafood but not on Thursdays and Tuesday, rest of the days it is all okay for me," Gautam said.
