Her bright smile and twinkling eyes shone brighter as it began to drizzle while she walked on the red carpet. The 53rd International Film Festival of India saw the world premiere of the film, Tera Kya Hoga Lovely.
The synopsis of the film is the story of a dusky girl who faces society and its prejudice against the dark skin tone. The genre of the film is comedy, and the cast includes Ileana D’Cruz, Randeep Hooda and Karan Kundrra.
“Hello, Goa!” said Ileana. “It is honestly so good to be here. There is no other way to describe it except, it feels like coming home - and it really is and always feels the same. I am extremely excited and proud that we are showcasing the film here, for the very first time. This is one of my most special films,” she added.
Alongside Illeana, was dashing Randeep Hooda in his well-tailored suit. “I am glad to be at IFFI. It is our country’s biggest festival and is making waves around the world. I am excited to be here for the first time. This film is a social comedy. You will be entertained while watching the film but think about it once you’re home,” he said.
The film highlights social issues and addresses how society is so drawn towards the fairer skin tone. It marks the directorial debut of Balwinder Singh Janjua and is Randeep Hooda’s first film in the comedy genre. The film was screened on November 25, 2022, at the Inox Auditorium 3.
All the Karan Kundrra fans were thrilled to see the handsome star up close as Karan shared his sentiments about the film. “It is a pleasure to be here and be a part of such a sweet film. For the film to be having its world premiere here at IFFI is such a proud moment for me,” he said smilingly.
