Nadia Rebelo (fadista), Sherwyn Correia (fadista), Orlando de Noronha (Portuguese guitar/violin), and Carlos Meneses (guitar) will provide the music for the evening.

Guests will also get a chance to sample Indo-Portuguese fare during the event.

ABOUT FADO & MANDO STYLES

The fado is a kind of musical style found in Portugal, and comprises a vocalist and one or two musicians using traditional Portuguese instruments, such as the Portuguese guitar.

The mandó is a musical genre found in Goa, and was more common in the olden days than it is today. It is characterised by a group of people, singing and dancing to slow music, and accompanied by the violin and the Goan ghumot (a local terracotta hand drum).
