Theatre Flamingo, Goa, is conducting a winter theatre residency -- Acting & its Magnetism -- in October where artists from different genres will come together to rewire their inner selves and unleash their thoughts and creativity.
The theatre residency will be held October 23 to 29, 2023, at TF Actor's Lab, Canacona, South Goa.
Through navarasa, kalaripayattu, voice work, studio and site-specific exercises, trekking in the woods, scene work, voicework, waterfall-jungle trail, sharing of ideas, and many other activities, participants will embark on a transformative journey into becoming a thinker-actor.
The theatre residency will culminate in a musical play, Boro, which is loosely adapted from Akira Kurosawa's movie Kagemusha.
Theatre Flamingo's creative journey began in 2017 when amateur artists and enthusiasts got down to promote grassroots theatre, and since then has been undertaking different theatre projects, including theatre residencies.
The projects and theatre residencies of Theatre Flamingo have showcased a diverse range of performances and provided a common stage for both regional and contemporary theatre.
