During the inaugural of India Pavilion at the Cannes Film Market ‘Marche du Film', in Cannes, France, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Thakur, released a poster of the 53rd International Film Festival of India (IFFI) which is to be held in Goa from November 20, 2022 to November 28, 2022.

Several Indian celebrities like Deepika Padukone, R Madhavan, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, AR Rahman and Tamannah Bhatia attend the function. Shekhar Kapur, Prasoon Joshi, folk singer Mame Khan were also present at the function which was held on Wednesday, May 18, 2022.

Congratulating the India Pavilion, Thakur said, “It is a feather in our cap and only with your Vishwas and Prayas today, it will become the pioneer of the Indian dream tomorrow.”

For the Cannes Festival this year, ‘India’ is the official Country of Honour at Cannes’ Marche Du Film.

Actress Deepika Padukone, who was also present at the event, said that it was a proud moment for India that our country is in the spotlight at the Cannes festival, and this is just the beginning, and Indian cinema will achieve more.

Actress, Tamannaah Bhatia also spoke about how India has contributed to the global film industry for many years, and now in the 75th year of its independence, it has partnered with the Cannes Film Festival, which is truly iconic for India.
