Travelling to Goa during summer is an altogether different experience. It's that time of the year when everybody falls in love with the outdoors to escape the heat. Most of the buzz shifts to the beaches and watering holes for chilled beers.

It is also the time when thick clothes are a no-no and the search for summer oufits begins. And if you are looking for that perfect summer outfit to look a bit trendy, then your search begins and ends at Crete India, which was launched recently as a summer collection brand.

What is Crete India?

This new summer collection brand is owned by two friends, Flexcia D'souza and Roma. Roma is a fashion designer by profession with years of experience and Flexcia is a travel and lifestyle content creator.

Both came together to start a clothing line which is travel friendly with a twist of comfortability in clothing. In short, it is a holiday inspired line, which is versatile and wearable for different occasions. One can style it or customise the way one wants it.

Crete India’s collection: What's in it for you?

The fabric used to design is cotton and cotton blend, with lace and are all of the same colour tone with a texture difference. This fabric choice was done in order to make the outfit breathable and apt for summer and tropical weather.

The collection as of now is limited to three designs in tops -- two are sleeveless and one has sleeves. Then there are three shrugs, which are in different lengths and patterns and can be used to layer any outfit. These can be used as a coverup on a swimsuit at the beach or add as a statement piece on a dress or top.

The dresses come in five designs and different lengths. There are shorter, ruffle dresses for those looking for a playful, fun design. The longer dresses are for a slightly more dressy occasion.

The collection also has two simple dresses which can be worn literally anywhere! Staying true to its name, all outfits are named after beach and island destinations, and the label itself is named after an island in Greece.

Looking to get your hands on these outfits?

This limited edition collection as of now can be ordered only through Instagram, which is a primary platform. Also, there is a look book with photos of all outfits. You can order via DMs. All outfits are custom made as per the customer’s requirement.

Future plans

Since this a limited edition line Crete India will create it for the next couple of months, both Flexcia and Roma intend to take a short break to create the next line. For now, both plan to stick to the online model, but will start doing pop-ups, probably by next season.
