Now a resident of Goa, Maneesha's journey is a beautiful blend of cultural heritage, artistic expression and a deep appreciation for nature's gifts.
A PASSION REKINDLED
With a background in Occupational Health and Safety, Maneesha always held a deep fascination for the artistry of gel nails. In Fiji, it was a cherished hobby, but life took a turn when she met Stenly in Goa.
After their marriage in 2007, motherhood became her primary focus. However, the embers of her passion never truly died.
The unexpected lockdown during the COVID-19 pandemic proved to be a turning point. With her son homebound, Maneesha found herself with free time on her hands. This reignited her love for gel nails.
She enrolled in online courses, refreshing her skills and delving into the world of gel press-on nails – a new trend that resonated with her practical side.
NAILED IT: A DREAM TAKES SHAPE
Recognising the growing popularity of press-on nails, Maneesha saw an opportunity. Combining her artistic talent with the convenience of press-ons, she catered to a niche market on Goa’s beauty scene.
In 2021, 'Nailed It by Maneesha,' her very own nail studio in Candolim, opened its doors. Catering to both locals and tourists, the studio offers an array of services, including gel polish on natural nails, gel extensions and Maneesha's signature customised gel press-on nails.
GO COCONUT: NATURE'S EMBRACE
Maneesha's entrepreneurial spirit extends beyond her nail artistry. 'Go Coconut ... love Fiji', a side hustle that began as a personal quest, has become a vital part of her business.
She explains how the brand name came to be. "The name 'Go Coconut' was born out of love for pure, cold-pressed coconut oil and just how great it is for our skin. In Fiji, we have a product line called 'Pure Fiji'," shares Maneesha.
Inspired by the Fijian tradition of using pure, cold-pressed coconut oil for skincare, Maneesha felt a disconnect with commercially available products loaded with chemicals.
Fuelled by a desire for natural alternatives, Maneesha embarked on a self-taught journey. Starting with a coconut-infused body oil, she began crafting a line of chemical-free, eco-friendly body essentials.
Her dedication has been rewarded with loyal customers who appreciate the visible results and the care she puts into each handcrafted product.

Maneesha's philosophy is simple, yet powerful -- quality over quantity. Keeping this in mind, she carefully selects and procures local items for her products.
"I source the coconut oil directly from local Goan villagers, ensuring the purest and most natural ingredients are used in the creations," she mentions.
