Panaji: Chief Minister Pramod Sawant on Saturday said that tourists will not be banned from entering casinos till rules under the Goa Public Gambling (Amendment) Act, 2012 are notified. The State Government has banned entry of Goans in casinos from February 1. It has also appointed the Commissioner of Commercial Taxes as the Gaming Commissioner but the rules under the Act are yet to be framed. “We have just appointed the Gaming Commissioner. We have to frame rules and regulations. It will take some time to put the mechanism in place. There will be no restrictions on tourists till rules are notified. Only if a Goan is identified, he will be in trouble,” he said. CM hails Union Budget
